  • Cooked below 100°C

    We vacuum fry at low temperature so the nutrients actually survive cooking. Most chips are fried at 160–180°C — that’s where the damage happens.

Why we started Akunka

In 2024, after a 10-day Vipassana silent retreat, our founder set out to answer a simple question: if plants help you live longer, why don’t more people eat them?

The answer wasn’t awareness — it was convenience. India, the world’s largest vegetarian population, still consumes barely half the WHO-recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables.
